Old Testament I BT110 **
Old Testament I introduces the first five books of the Old Testament. The course will explore the rich narrative passages of the Old Testament giving the student not only an introduction to the Old Testament but to the Bible as a whole. Particular attention will be paid to who God is and what He does as well as how He responds to the choices of His people.
While the scope is extensive, our procedure will involve detailed study on certain topics and passages and only a cursory overview of others. Because of the necessity of this procedure, you will have to do independent study both during the course and throughout your life in order to understand the depth of the Old Testament.
(3 hours)
