The Grande Prairie Family Education Society ( grandeprairiefamilyeducationso
ciety.org ) is a non-profit agency in Grande Prairie, that is dedicated to supporting and helping families and individuals who are struggling with life issues, family & marriage & parenting issues, and legal issues. We have several departments with amazing staff who consistently and knowledgeably support these people, teaching them how to parent better, make better decisions, and do life skills better. -
Some of the programs we offer are Love & Logic, Circle of Security (how to develop healthy attachment with your children), Decision Skills (a New Ways for Families program associated with the Reforming the Family Justice System in Grande Prairie), Triple P (parent ed program), The Big Six (parent ed program), Parenting young youth (parent ed program), Home Alone Safely (parent ed program), and much more. We are a secular organization, but for college students this is a great opportunity to get experience in the fields of childcare and early childhood education.

In the evenings, we have been running parent education programs for parents who cannot attend during the work day. We are looking for childminders during this time.
Volunteers must sign a confidentiality agreement, as well as have a current Police Check (they can show a copy of it to prove it is current).
